When the clutch pedal is pressed, the clutch cable pulls the clutch operating shaft, which rotates the clutch operating lever, which presses against the clutch push rod, which pushes onto the thrust plate, which disengages the clutch disc.

With time, the pressure on the end of the clutch operating lever is great enough to cause it to break, making clutch disengagement impossible.

If it's time for the clutch to be replaced, make sure this OEM clutch operating lever is among the parts being replaced.
