VW and Audi consider automatic transmission fluid (ATF) to be a "lifetime fluid". There is only a recommendation to check the level every 64,000km, and to top it up as necessary. As enthusiasts, we recommend that your old fluid be drained every 64,000km, and filled with fresh fluid.

Ravenol ATF 5/4HP Fluid is a synthetic fluid that is recommended for use in quite a number of VW and Audi 3spd, 4spd, and 5spd automatic transmissions. See the Vehicle Application List below for details.
