The ignition coil pack is a very common failure point in your vehicles’ ignition system. If you have a flashing CEL, or misfire codes, there’s a good chance that your coilpack is failing. Get a spray bottle and spray a fine mist of water onto the coilpack. If the car misfires and/or if you see arcing, you have found at least one of the causes and can eliminate it by installing one of these coilpacks from either aftermarket supplier Topran or Hueco.

While you’re at it, you should really consider replacing your spark plugs and spark plug wires to maximize the ignition systems’ efficiency. A more efficient system means better fuel economy and improved engine performance.
