DTC-70 are a brake pad compound designed for track use, with an optimum temperature range of 800-1200°F, and a working range of 400-1600°F. As per Hawk, the DTC-70 are designed for cars with high deceleration rates with or without down force. They exhibit extremely high torque with an aggressive, yet controllable initial bite, as well as superior release and torque control characteristics.

They are not recommended for street use as they need higher temperatures to work effectively.

Brake wear indicators are not built in to these pads, so a message for low brake pad level will be present until the wiring from the vehicle has been modified.
