Are your front wipers moving slowly? It’s often assumed that the culprit is the wiper motor, but chances are good that it’s actually the wiper linkage that has seized up from corrosion in the pivots.

To find out if the motor is still in good shape, remove the two rods that connect the motor to the wiper arm linkages under the rain tray cover, and turn the motor on. If the splined pivot spins freely, the wiper linkage is at fault, and should be replaced. If the motor doesn’t move, there may be an electrical issue, and further diagnosis will be required.

If the motor is confirmed to have failed, replace it with this OEM motor to get your front wipers working properly again.
