If you install a high flow catalytic convertor on your car, the rear oxygen sensor tends to see exhaust flow that doesn’t match what is stored in the ECU as “acceptable”. When this happens, you’ll likely get a check engine light (CEL) for catalytic convertor efficiency (i.e. a failed cat).

To get around this, you can install one of these Vibrant J-Bend O2 sensor spacers (AKA O2 sensor restrictors). The purpose of this restrictor is to separate the sensor from the exhaust stream to get a correct reading, and eliminate the CEL.
