Over time, the plastic of your dipstick handle will deteriorate, and fall apart. When that happens, replace it will this OEM dipstick.

Some 2.0T B8 and C7 chassis vehicles were not equipped with an engine oil dipstick from the factory, just a cap on the top of the dipstick tube. This OEM dipstick appears to work in these vehicles, but you will need to do your due diligence to determine if it's correct for yours.
